(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk Police have issued appearance tickets to two individuals accused of shoplifting from a Main Street retailer.
DUNKIRK, N.Y. — Two Dunkirk residents are facing charges of petit larceny following a shoplifting incident at the Family Dollar store located at 327 Main Street.
According to the Dunkirk Police Department, officers from the 3–11 p.m. shift responded to a report of past-tense shoplifting on Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 4:16 p.m. Following an investigation, police identified 33-year-old Kevin Y. Dejesus-Rivera of Hoyt Street and 36-year-old Christina A. Marrero of West Courtney Street as the suspects.
Both individuals were located the following day, Tuesday, May 20, and were issued appearance tickets for petit larceny under New York State Penal Law 155.25.
Dejesus-Rivera and Marrero are scheduled to appear in Dunkirk City Court before Honorable Judge Kuzdale on June 2, 2025.
The charges are currently accusations, and both individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
