(WNY News Now) – A 27-year-old Jamestown man was arrested during a street check and charged with felony drug possession after being found with cocaine.
JAMESTOWN – On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon arrested Dakota J. Raymond, a 27-year-old resident of Jamestown, during a street check in the area of Forest Avenue and Prather Avenue.
According to police, officers recognized Raymond and were aware that he had an outstanding warrant issued by the City of Jamestown. Officers conducted a street check, during which Raymond was taken into custody without incident.
During the arrest, Raymond was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. As a result, he was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C felony under New York State law.
Raymond was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
