(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident faces a trespass charge after police discovered him inside a condemned home on the city’s east side.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a reported trespassing incident at a residence on the city’s east side.

Upon arrival, officers located 47-year-old Raymond C. Brown of Jamestown inside a condemned property. Following a brief investigation, it was determined that Brown did not have permission to be on the premises.

Brown was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was subsequently charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor under New York State law.

Brown was released from custody with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
