(WNY News Now) – Jamestown police officers assisted New York State Parole in arresting a wanted parolee on the city’s east side Wednesday afternoon.

On May 28, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to assist New York State Parole with an investigation at a residence on the east side of Jamestown.

According to authorities, parole officers had information that 40-year-old Todd E. Dalton, a Jamestown resident wanted on a parole warrant, was inside the home but refusing to come out. Upon arrival, JPD officers assisted in searching the residence and located Dalton hiding under a pile of clothes in a bedroom closet.

Dalton was taken into custody without further incident. In addition to the active parole warrant, he was charged with resisting arrest. He is currently being held in custody pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
