(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman faces a felony larceny charge following a property theft investigation on the city’s east side.
On Thursday, May 30, 2025, at approximately 9:36 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to a past-tense larceny complaint at a residence on the city’s east side.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed the male victim and began a preliminary investigation. During the course of their inquiry, it was determined that 30-year-old Ashley E. Lindgren, a Jamestown resident, had allegedly taken property that did not belong to her.
Lindgren was still present at the location when police arrived. Officers took her into custody without incident and transported her to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E felony under New York State Penal Law.
Following booking procedures, Lindgren was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and subsequently released. She is required to return to court at a later date to face the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
