(WNY News Now) – A Cattaraugus County woman has been charged with grand larceny following a lengthy investigation into missing funds at a Seneca Nation workplace.
LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. – On June 2 at 1:00 p.m., the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Amy R. Hushon of Limestone, NY, in connection with a grand larceny investigation involving the alleged theft of over $21,000.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Hushon on one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree—a class D felony under New York State law.
Investigators allege that while employed by the Seneca Nation Optical Division, Hushon misappropriated funds over an extended period. Hushon is scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
