(WNY News Now) – Three juveniles have been charged with grand larceny following the theft of a vehicle from a Dunkirk neighborhood in the early hours of Sunday, May 25.
The Dunkirk Police Department has charged three juveniles with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D felony under New York State Penal Law §155.35(1), after a vehicle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Deer Street around midnight on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
According to the police, the stolen vehicle was located shortly after 2:00 a.m. in the Town of Brant by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department. All three juveniles were found with the vehicle and taken into custody. They were subsequently identified and arraigned on charges in Erie County.
The Dunkirk Police Department later charged the juveniles in connection to the vehicle theft. Two of the juveniles, both 16 years old, are scheduled to appear in Youth Part County Court. The third individual, a 14-year-old, will appear in Chautauqua County Family Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
