(WNY News Now) – Marcus A. Turner, 42, of Olean, was arrested June 8 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of multiple controlled substances concealed during jail intake in Little Valley.

On June 8, 2025, at approximately 5:16 a.m., Marcus A. Turner, 42, of Olean, New York, was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Buffalo Street in the City of Olean. The stop was initiated due to vehicle and traffic law violations. Turner, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found to have two active felony bench warrants issued by the Cattaraugus County Court related to prior drug arrests.

Turner was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley. During the intake process, correctional officers discovered a suspicious package concealed in his underwear. Deputies seized the package and subsequently identified it as containing suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, MDMA, and other drug paraphernalia.

As a result, Turner was charged with multiple offenses, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (Narcotic and Hallucinogenic substances), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (two counts), Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

Turner was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Little Valley Court at a later date for further proceedings. He was taken back to the Cattaraugus County Jail pending court action. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
