(WNY News Now) – Wesley W. John, 39, of Salamanca, was taken into custody in Hamburg on June 7, 2025, following the execution of a bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court.

On the evening of June 7, 2025, at approximately 11:28 p.m., the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wesley W. John, 39, of Salamanca, New York. The arrest occurred at a Boston State Road address in Hamburg, New York, under the authority of a bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court.

Following the arrest, John was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he remains in custody pending his arraignment. Further court proceedings have been scheduled, with John due to appear in County Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
