(WNY News Now) – James R. Wall, 44, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning in Jamestown on a felony bench warrant and a drug possession charge, according to police reports.

On June 11, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers from the third platoon of the Jamestown Police Department conducted a street check near the intersection of East 2nd Street and Winsor Street. During the stop, they identified James R. Wall, 44, who had an active felony bench warrant issued by Jamestown City Court.

Wall was taken into custody without incident. A search revealed he was in possession of Suboxone, a controlled substance. Consequently, he faces an additional charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Wall was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is currently held pending arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
