(WNY News Now) – Christopher S. Haberberger, 40, was arrested downtown early Friday morning following a brief foot chase and found with controlled substances, police report.

On June 13, 2025, at approximately 6:18 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon were conducting patrols in the downtown area when they spotted Christopher S. Haberberger, a 40-year-old Jamestown resident. Haberberger was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court.

When officers attempted to take him into custody, Haberberger fled on foot but was quickly apprehended after a short pursuit. During the arrest, police found crack cocaine and Suboxone in Haberberger’s possession.

He was charged with resisting arrest, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and held on his outstanding warrant. Haberberger remains in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
