(WNY News Now) – A Dunkirk resident is facing petit larceny charges following a shoplifting complaint at a local business on June 3.
DUNKIRK, N.Y. – On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at approximately 8:59 p.m., officers from the Dunkirk Police Department responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business located on Lake Shore Drive West.
According to police, store staff reported that a male suspect had allegedly stolen merchandise and fled the scene. Officers obtained a description of the individual and were able to locate a suspect matching the details shortly after the incident.
The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Neil A. Timmerman of Dunkirk. He was taken into custody and charged with Petit Larceny under New York Penal Law §155.25.
Timmerman was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
