(WNY News Now) – On June 13, 2025, at approximately 7:12 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle complaint on Dutch Hollow Road in the Town of Ellery.
Upon locating the vehicle, deputies identified the driver as 64-year-old Christopher J. Ley of Dunkirk, NY. Following an investigation, Ley was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the First Degree.
Ley is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellery Court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
