(WNY News Now) – A Lakewood man was arrested early Wednesday morning in Jamestown after officers discovered a stolen credit card, an illegal weapon, and a controlled substance during a street check.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On June 19, 2025, at approximately 12:39 a.m., Jamestown Police officers from the Third Platoon conducted a street check near East 6th Street and Prendergast Avenue. During the check, officers encountered 28-year-old Tyler T. Manelick of Lakewood, New York, who was known to have active warrants for failing to appear in both Jamestown City Court and the Town of Ellicott Court.
Manelick was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation, officers found him in possession of a stolen credit card reported out of Lakewood, a set of black metal knuckles, and a quantity of Suboxone strips.
As a result, Manelick was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
He is currently being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
