(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. — A 42-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly damaging hospital equipment and grabbing a staff member at Brooks Hospital’s emergency room.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., Dunkirk Police responded to a report of a disruptive patient at the hospital. Officers say Daniel J. Jennings Jr., 42, allegedly threw a vital signs monitor, broke a computer monitor, and damaged a wooden cabinet during the disturbance.

According to police, Jennings also allegedly grabbed a hospital staff member by the arms during the incident.

Jennings was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a Class D felony; two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, both Class A misdemeanors; and Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
