(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown woman has been charged with petit larceny after allegedly attempting to steal merchandise from a store on East 3rd Street.
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 3:59 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported larceny at 108 E. 3rd St. Upon arrival, police determined that 42-year-old Chelline M. Occhipinti had allegedly concealed merchandise on her person in an attempt to leave the store without paying.
Occhipinti was taken into custody at the scene without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with attempted petit larceny and later released with an appearance ticket for Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
