(WNY News Now) – A 42-year-old Jamestown woman is facing felony drug charges after officers discovered fentanyl and drug paraphernalia during a street check on Prospect Street early Tuesday morning.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On June 25, 2025, at approximately 3:29 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon observed a suspicious individual behind a residence on Prospect Street. The woman was identified as Desiray J. Corrigan, a 42-year-old resident of Jamestown.

A background check revealed that Corrigan had an outstanding warrant from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. She was taken into custody without incident.

During a subsequent investigation, officers discovered that Corrigan was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, along with a digital scale and drug packaging materials. As a result, she was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a felony, and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, both misdemeanors.

Corrigan was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
