(WNY News Now) – MACHIAS, N.Y. — A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody on a bench warrant during a late morning arrest in Machias.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that Megan E. Ford was arrested at approximately 10:56 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, at a Lake Road residence in the Town of Machias.
Deputies determined that Ford had an active bench warrant issued by the City of Olean Local Criminal Court. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the City of Olean Police Department.
Ford was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to City of Olean Local Criminal Court at a later date to face further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
