(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — A 48-year-old Olean resident was arrested on a bench warrant and remanded to jail following his processing by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael V. Smalls was taken into custody at approximately 12:00 p.m. on June 26, 2025, within the City of Olean. The arrest was made in response to an active bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court.
Following his arrest, Smalls was processed at the Sheriff’s Office substation and subsequently transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
