(WNY News Now) – On June 26, 2025, at approximately 2:12 p.m., the Busti Fire Department responded to a camper fire on Southwestern Drive in the Town of Busti.
After extinguishing the blaze, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team conducted a thorough investigation to determine the fire’s origin and cause. Investigators found that the fire started on a stove top inside the camper, caused by an unattended burner. The fire was officially ruled accidental.
No injuries or further damages were reported, and authorities remind residents to practice fire safety, especially when using cooking appliances inside campers or enclosed spaces.
