(WNY News Now) – Joshua R. Skinner of Celoron was charged with petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting at Wegmans in the Town of Ellicott on June 25, 2025.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department responded to a shoplifting report on June 25, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. at Wegmans. Authorities allege that 19-year-old Joshua R. Skinner of Celoron took merchandise from the store without paying.

Skinner later turned himself in to the Town of Ellicott Police Department, where he was charged with petit larceny and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott court at a future date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
