(WNY News Now) – Bridget G. Putnum, 33, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was arrested in Mayville early Sunday morning on multiple charges including driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of controlled substances.

On July 6, 2025, at approximately 3:34 a.m., deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on W Lake Road in the Town of Chautauqua, Mayville. The stop led to the discovery that Bridget G. Putnum was operating a vehicle without a functioning plate lamp and was an unlicensed operator.

Further investigation revealed that Putnum was driving while impaired by drugs. As a result, she was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI Drugs), no plate lamp, unlicensed operator, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Following her arrest, Putnum was processed and subsequently released with appearance tickets. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date for these charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
