(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is facing assault charges after a domestic dispute on the city’s south side resulted in injury to another individual.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On July 5, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on the city’s south side.

According to investigators, 51-year-old Dennis R. Boron was involved in an altercation during which he allegedly slapped a phone out of the victim’s hand. The phone reportedly struck the victim in the face, causing an injury above the eye and resulting in substantial pain.

Boron was taken into custody at the scene without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Assault in the Third Degree, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law.

Boron is currently being held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
