Angela S. Fernandez, 52, was arrested for allegedly stealing from Walmart in Allegany on July 5, 2025.

(WNY News Now) – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that Angela S. Fernandez, age 52, was taken into custody on Saturday, July 5, 2025, following an incident of suspected shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter located at 1869 Plaza Drive in Allegany, New York.

According to authorities, deputies responded to the store shortly after noon and arrested Fernandez for petit larceny after she was allegedly caught stealing from the store. She was transported to the Sheriff’s Substation in Olean for processing.

Fernandez was released at the scene with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Allegany Town Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
