Allen W. Harris Sr., 73, faces multiple charges including Aggravated DWI and driving with a revoked license after a crash in Portville.
(WNY News Now) – PORTVILLE, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Portville resident following an investigation into a motor vehicle crash that occurred earlier this year.
On July 6, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Allen W. Harris Sr., 73, was arrested in connection to a March 29 crash on Portville Obi Road in the Town of Portville. Authorities determined that Harris had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Following the investigation, Harris was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, DWI Per Se, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08% or Higher, Circumvention of an Interlock Device Restriction, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, Moving from Lane Unsafely, and Speed Not Reasonable or Prudent.
Harris was processed and released on uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Portville Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
