(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman was arrested Thursday evening after reportedly violating an active order of protection and being found with an active bench warrant.
On July 10, 2025, at approximately 7:55 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence on the east side of the city.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim at the scene. Through further investigation, they determined that 36-year-old Priscilla L. Karnuth, a Jamestown resident, was in violation of a valid stay-away order of protection involving the victim.
Police also confirmed that Karnuth had an active bench warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Karnuth was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and held on the outstanding bench warrant. She is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
