Police say woman was caught stealing flowers near City Hall late Thursday night

(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman is facing a petit larceny charge after police say she was caught stealing flowers from Tracy Plaza late Thursday night.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, third platoon officers observed a female subject taking flowers from the grounds of Tracy Plaza at approximately 11:38 p.m. on July 10, 2025. The location is adjacent to City Hall at 200 E. 3rd Street.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Amanda D. Ferguson of Jamestown, was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing.

Following the arrest, Ferguson was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to face the charge of petit larceny. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
