Police say man entered store, began yelling, throwing items, and threatening staff
(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident was taken into custody on July 12, 2025, following a reported disturbance at the CVS store located at 19 South Main Street in downtown Jamestown.
At approximately 11:56 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department First Platoon responded to reports of a disorderly person inside the store. According to employee statements, the individual entered the premises, began yelling, threw merchandise, and threatened one of the staff members.
Officers quickly located a suspect matching the description behind a nearby business. The individual was identified as 54-year-old Raymond Johnson of Jamestown.
Johnson was arrested without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Johnson faces multiple charges including Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Harassment in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
