Deputies Say Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges Including DWI and AUO 1st
(WNY News Now) – BEMUS POINT, NY – A 31-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 12, 2025, following a traffic stop in the Village of Bemus Point.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted the stop at approximately 2:09 a.m. The driver, identified as Sienna M. Swanson, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Further investigation revealed that Swanson was also driving with a suspended license. She was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree (AUO 1st), and Speed in Zone.
Swanson was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Ellery Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
