Jamestown police apprehend 26-year-old suspect at east side residence following tip.

(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A man wanted for homicide in Puerto Rico was taken into custody without incident by Jamestown police on Wednesday, July 16.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department’s first platoon responded to a tip regarding the whereabouts of a fugitive at an east side residence. Upon arrival at approximately 11:24 a.m., officers located and arrested 26-year-old Bryan J. Rivera-Montanez.

Rivera-Montanez, who was wanted on a homicide warrant issued in Puerto Rico, answered the door and was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He has been charged as a Fugitive From Justice and is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
