Police say TV was damaged during incident; suspect released on recognizance after arraignment
(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, NY — A Dunkirk woman was arrested on July 9 following a reported disturbance on East 5th Street that resulted in property damage.
According to the Dunkirk Police Department, officers responded to the location around 9:10 p.m. and determined that 49-year-old Rachel C. Clarke had allegedly kicked a television, causing damage.
Following the investigation, Clarke was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree under New York Penal Law §145.00(1). She was transported to Dunkirk Police headquarters for processing.
Clarke was later arraigned before the Honorable Judge John Kuzdale and released on her own recognizance (ROR). As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
