(WNY News Now) – A woman was hospitalized after an alleged domestic assault at a Cattaraugus County campground late Tuesday night.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Hamburg man following a domestic incident that occurred at the East Otto State Forest Campgrounds on July 15, 2025, around 11:30 p.m.

Zachary Lorkowski, 31, was arrested and charged with Assault in the Third Degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a class D felony. Deputies reported that a female victim was transported by ambulance to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

Lorkowski was located and taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Allegany Court, where a stay-away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. He was released on his own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket for a future court date in the Town of East Otto Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
