(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Otto resident was arrested after allegedly threatening a victim electronically, prompting a harassment charge.

LITTLE VALLEY, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Alexander P. Bryant, 24, of Otto, NY, following an investigation into a harassment complaint in the Town of Little Valley.

Deputies responded to the incident on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at approximately 12:57 p.m. According to the investigation, Bryant allegedly sent an electronic message to a victim that contained a threat, causing the recipient to fear for their safety.

As a result, Bryant was charged with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor offense under New York State law, typically related to threats made via electronic or written communication.

Bryant was arraigned in the Town of Ellicottville Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date to respond to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
