(WNY News Now) – A 31-year-old Olean man was arrested after a domestic incident involving a weapon and alleged theft on Route 16.

OLEAN, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathon K. Dannheim, 31, of Olean, following a domestic incident that occurred in a vehicle on Route 16 near Godfrey Hollow Road on the evening of August 3, 2025.

Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 7:19 p.m. and took Dannheim into custody. He was charged with Menacing in the Second Degree involving a weapon and Petit Larceny.

Dannheim was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was arraigned at Hinsdale Town Court and subsequently released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Olean Town Court later this month to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
