(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTT, N.Y. – A Jamestown man is facing several charges following a domestic dispute that occurred earlier this month in the Town of Ellicott.

According to the Town of Ellicott Police Department, officers responded to a domestic incident on August 11, 2025, involving 53-year-old Erik V. Kopp. Police allege Kopp made threats of harm toward two individuals at the scene and intentionally damaged property inside the residence.

Following the investigation, authorities obtained a warrant for Kopp’s arrest. He was later located, taken into custody, and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and harassment in the second degree.

Kopp was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
