(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon following a reported domestic incident on the city’s north side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon responded to a residence at approximately 4:22 p.m. on August 12, 2025, for a report of a domestic disturbance.

Police say their investigation determined that 30-year-old Rochelle Leak-Brown allegedly violated an active order of protection by striking the victim at the scene.

Leak-Brown was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court on a charge of first-degree criminal contempt. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
