Deputies say a Portville man left his 7-year-old daughter home alone for nearly an hour.

(WNY News Now) – PORTVILLE, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Portville resident has been charged following an investigation into a domestic incident on August 13, 2025.

Deputies say Zachary M. Fisher, 30, was arrested after it was determined he had allegedly left his seven-year-old daughter home alone for almost an hour at a residence on North Main Street.

Fisher was charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
