(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man was taken into custody after police responded to a wellbeing check on the city’s south side and uncovered a domestic incident earlier in the day.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to the residence on Friday, August 15, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m. During the investigation, it was determined that 22-year-old city resident Zachery R.C. Vorse had allegedly assaulted a juvenile victim, causing physical injury.
Vorse was charged with assault in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities said he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
