(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man was taken into custody Tuesday evening after police found him inside a condemned building on Prospect Street.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Second Platoon responded to a trespassing complaint on August 19, 2025, at approximately 6:12 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered 41-year-old Anthony M. Camarata inside the vacant property.

Camarata was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. Police said Camarata is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court due to prior failures to appear. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
