(WNY News Now) – MANSFIELD, N.Y. – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Little Valley man was arrested late on August 13, 2025, following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Mansfield.

Deputies said they responded to the intersection of West Hill Road and Toad Hollow Road at 11:53 p.m., where they took 66-year-old Randy L. Brown into custody. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Brown was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (first offense), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher (no prior offenses), and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.

Brown was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Mansfield Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
