(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A 34-year-old Jamestown man was arrested early Tuesday morning following a domestic dispute that led to multiple charges, including grand larceny and criminal contempt.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to a residence on the city’s south side at approximately 2:25 a.m. on September 23, 2025. Police said the investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Luis A. Deleon Lopez, allegedly entered the victim’s home without permission, took two cell phones to prevent the victim from contacting 911, and threatened to damage property.

Authorities added that the incident violated an active stay-away order of protection that was in place for the victim. Deleon Lopez was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Jamestown Police Department for processing.

He is facing charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Harassment in the Second Degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and Criminal Contempt in the First Degree.

Police confirmed that Deleon Lopez was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
