(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A Mayville man is facing charges after Jamestown Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on the city’s east side late Wednesday night.

On September 24, 2025, at approximately 10:36 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon were dispatched to a residence on the east side of the city following a past tense harassment complaint.

During the investigation, officers determined that 28-year-old Isaac J. Baxter had allegedly violated a no offensive contact order of protection by making threats of physical harm toward a protected individual.

With assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, police located Baxter, who was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree.

Baxter was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
