(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A warrant arrest on the north side of Jamestown led to additional narcotics charges Friday morning after officers discovered methamphetamine in a suspect’s possession.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, the incident occurred on October 3, 2025, at approximately 7:55 a.m. Officers from the department’s First Platoon were on foot patrol in the area when they encountered 31-year-old Mackenzie D. Kelly of Jamestown.
Police confirmed that Kelly had several active warrants issued out of Jamestown City Court. He was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers found that Kelly was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
As a result, Kelly was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree in addition to the outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
