(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after police linked him to a vehicle accident early Wednesday morning.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon located a vehicle around 4:00 a.m. on October 1, 2025, that had been involved in a crash on the city’s northside.

Investigators determined the vehicle belonged to Malachi L. Biles, 20, of Jamestown. Police say Biles admitted to operating the vehicle after leaving the Wine Cellar prior to the accident.

Following field investigation, officers determined Biles had been driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the city jail, where he was booked and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Biles was later released on tickets and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
