Deputies say the 73-year-old was charged with multiple traffic offenses following a late-night crash.
(WNY News Now) – SILVER CREEK, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 73-year-old Silver Creek woman was arrested late Wednesday night after allegedly leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Deputies were dispatched to Central Avenue and Christy Street in the Village of Silver Creek around 11:07 p.m. on October 1 for a report of a vehicle leaving the scene. The driver was identified as Alexandria J. Amendola, 73, of Silver Creek.
According to investigators, further examination revealed that Amendola had been operating her vehicle while intoxicated. She was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from a lane unsafely, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.
Amendola was later released and is scheduled to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a future date to answer to the charges.
