(WNY News Now) – RANDOLPH, N.Y. — A Randolph man faces multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, following an early-morning incident in which he was reportedly found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of an erratic driver on Church Street in Randolph around 3:30 a.m. on October 5. Upon arrival, deputies located 26-year-old Michael A. Willover asleep in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle parked along the roadside.

Deputies reported that Willover exhibited signs of intoxication, including the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

While at the station, Willover allegedly provided a chemical test sample on the Datamaster and was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08% or Higher, and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

Willover was released on an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  1. This is Michael, the car was parked at our home. No, I was not driving it, officer Zach and his partner wanted to play dirty over a welfare check after their first accusation of someone doing burnouts. After refusing that, and saying I am completely fine, they wanted to target me with a DWI, the vehicle was not running. The case is going to trail with pulled body cams!

    1. Hey I live bye there and the cops are assholes. I bet we can have the news help with showing how the cops are just dick heads along with duane(Butch) town. Truth needs seen :))
