(WNY News Now) – WESTFIELD, N.Y. — A 25-year-old Westfield man was arrested Monday night following a reported trespass and theft from a Kent Street residence, according to the Westfield Police Department.
Police said that on October 13, 2025, at about 9:45 p.m., officers responded to an apartment on Kent Street after receiving a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers were informed by the victim that Nathan B. Schruise had allegedly entered the residence without permission and stolen property belonging to the victim.
Authorities said Schruise left the scene before officers arrived but was later located at his home and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Petit Larceny (NYS Penal Law 155.25) and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP) proceedings in Westfield Town Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
