(WNY News Now) – Deputies responded early Thursday morning to a report of a disorderly person in Hanover, leading to the arrest of a 36-year-old woman accused of theft and violating an order of protection.
HANOVER, NY — On October 30, 2025, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a disorderly person at a residence in the Town of Hanover.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, an investigation determined that Jaralyn E. Majak, 36, of Silver Creek, allegedly took another person’s dog and refused to return it. Deputies also discovered that Majak had violated a valid refrain-from order of protection and allegedly spat at the individual involved in the incident.
Majak was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Petit Larceny, and Harassment in the Second Degree.
Following her arrest, Majak was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
