(WNY News Now) – A Machias woman was arrested Saturday after deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office located her at a residence on State Route 16 while executing an active bench warrant.

MACHIAS, N.Y. — Deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of a Machias resident on an outstanding bench warrant on March 7.

According to Sheriff Eric A. Butler, deputies took Serena M. Alls, 27, into custody at approximately 11:44 a.m. at a residence on Route 16 in the Town of Machias.

Authorities said Alls was wanted on an active bench warrant issued by the Town of Hinsdale Local Criminal Court. Deputies located her at the address and arrested her without incident.

Following the arrest, Alls was transported to Town of Portville Local Criminal Court, where she was arraigned on the warrant.

Court officials released Alls on her own recognizance following the arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Hinsdale Court at a later date for further proceedings related to the warrant.

Officials noted that all charges are accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
