(WNY News Now) – POMFRET, N.Y. — A Dunkirk woman is facing multiple charges after deputies conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning in the Town of Pomfret.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. on March 15, 2026, on Route 60. Deputies on routine patrol stopped a vehicle for an alleged equipment violation after observing it operating without taillights.

Following an investigation, the driver, identified as 35-year-old Keshia L. Lindquist of Dunkirk, was determined to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Lindquist was taken to the Sheriff’s Office substation in Pomfret for processing. She was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated Per Se, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and operating a motor vehicle without taillights.

Authorities report that Lindquist was later released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Town of Pomfret Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
